Lupa Mayores ("the App") is a digital magnifying glass and text reader designed for seniors and people with low vision. The App is developed and published by Hub Tech ("we", "us", "our").

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we access, how we use it, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2.2 Data Accessed Locally on Your Device

The App accesses certain hardware features on your device solely to provide its core functionality. This data is processed locally and never leaves your device:

3. Camera Usage

The App requires access to your device's camera to provide the magnification and text reading features. Camera images are processed in real time on your device and are never sent to external servers.

When you use the "Capture" feature, the photo is saved exclusively to your device's local storage in the App's private directory. You can view and delete these captures at any time from the Gallery section within the App.

The camera is used solely for:

• Displaying a live magnified view of the camera feed
• Capturing still images for later viewing
• Scanning text for OCR (optical character recognition)

4. Text Recognition (OCR)

The App uses Google ML Kit for on-device text recognition. All text recognition processing happens entirely on your device. No images or recognized text are sent to Google's servers or any external service. The on-device ML Kit model runs locally without an internet connection.

5. Local Storage

Captured images and app preferences (such as zoom level, theme, and language settings) are stored locally on your device in the App's private storage directory. This data is:

• Never transmitted to our servers or any third party
• Accessible only by the App itself
• Deletable at any time by the user from the Gallery section
• Automatically removed if the App is uninstalled

6. Third-Party Services

6.1 Google AdMob (Advertising)

The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect certain information to serve ads, including:

• Device advertising identifier (AAID / IDFA)
• IP address (used to estimate general location for ad targeting)
• Device information (model, operating system, screen size)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

This data collection is governed by Google's own privacy policy. We do not have access to the personal data collected by Google AdMob. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

6.2 Google ML Kit (Text Recognition)

7. Permissions

The App requests the following permissions:

You can revoke the camera permission at any time through your device's Settings. The magnification and text reading features will be unavailable without camera access, but you can still browse the gallery and settings.

8. Data Security

Since we do not collect or transmit personal data, the primary security consideration is the local storage on your device. Captured images are stored in the App's private directory, which is protected by your device's operating system and is not accessible to other apps. We recommend keeping your device's operating system updated and using a screen lock to protect your data.

9. Children's Privacy

This App is designed for adults and seniors. We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. The App does not contain any features designed to attract children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not retain any user data on our servers. All data exists solely on your device:

• Captured images: Stored until you delete them from the Gallery section or uninstall the App.
• App preferences: Stored until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App.
• To delete all data: Uninstall the App or go to your device's Settings > Apps > Lupa Mayores > Clear Data.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Right of access: Since we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data to access.
• Right of deletion: You can delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the App or clearing its data.
• Right to opt out of personalized ads: You can disable ad personalization through your device settings (see Section 6.1).

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), this policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For users in California, this policy complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
